Spa Relaxation / Swedish Massage
Light to Moderate/Firm Touch. A luxurious relaxing full body massage which may include a variety of massage strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve circulation. It may also include range of motion stretching.  The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, and greater flexibility.‚Äč

Deep Tissue/Sports Massage
Moderate to Deep Touch. Deep tissue massage relieves chronic tension and toxins from the body. This technique is effective for relieving pain from deeply held muscle tension such as back pain, chronic pain, sciatic pain, etc. Deep Tissue is different from Swedish Deep Tissue Massage in that the therapist does not use oil or lotion and works very slowly. The therapist works deeply in such a way as to encourage the body not to react defensively and the treatment is kept within the comfort range of the client.  The purpose is to “un-stick” the fibers of a muscle while releasing deeply held patterns of tension, removing toxins, relaxing, soothing and thereby re-educating the muscle to operate in full capacity.

Acupressure Bodywork with Jennifer

In traditional Tuina or Ashiatsu massage, a client wears loose, comfortable clothes while the practitioner applies pressure with either their fingers, hands, elbows, forearms, knees, or feet to target specific pressure points with soothing strokes and deep pressure to milk the muscles and release toxins to induce deep relaxation.

It’s perfect for lovers of deep tissue work or can’t seem to find a therapist to do deep enough work for them.  It is also useful as a sports preparation or athletic maintenance, as the elements of stretching and engaging the large muscle groups are incorporated. It is also a great way to quickly warm up the large muscles for more detailed therapy, especially on people who are very muscular, although there are no restrictions on body types who can receive Tuina or Ashiatsu, due to the therapist having control of weight distribution. It feels like a “good workout” to some, leaving them refreshed and relaxed rather than tired.

Neuromuscular Therapy with Michele.

This is less massage and more body work.  She uses a variety of techniques including very slow and very deep tissue, trigger point and myofascial techniques to provide a deep and lasting relaxation of your muscular problems.  Please know there may be more talking in these sessions to discuss muscle issues and less lotion is used.

As an integral part of the Ayurvedic healing system, Indian Head Massage is a technique that manipulates soft tissues in the shoulders and scalp while opening up the flow of chi (energy) as well as blood flow. It helps to alleviate headaches, improve circulation of the cerebral spinal fluid, and relax and revive the entire head and scalp.

Reflexology is the practice of applying pressure to the feet and hands based on a system of zones and reflex areas that reflect an image of the body on the feet and hands. Reflexology is meant to affect physical change in the body and reduce stress and reset homeostasis, the body’s equilibrium. This pressure stimulates the senses and reinvigorates the body. This treatment also includes an exfoliating sugar foot scrub.

Head to Toe Reflexology Session - 60 min

Reflexology Focused Foot Session  - 30 min

Chinese Cupping Therapy

Chinese Cupping therapy has been proven to help with pain relief, alleviating muscle tension on a very deep level. It also helps to detoxify the body, promoting a sense of relaxation and increasing blood flow to previously blocked areas.  Total treatment time varies depending on your individual needs but is typically 45 minutes to an hour including consultation time.

Ear Candling Therapy

is a soothing and relaxing therapy that can help reduce the symptoms of an ear infection, ringing in the ear (tinnitus), and swimmers' ear. An ear candle with a tapered end is placed inside your ear and blows warm smoke into the ear which is indeed very relaxing and soothing for many, and helps to "dryout the ear." At the same time, your face, scalp and neck will be massaged also to help reduce the symptoms you are experiencing by utilizing pressure point therapy. Total treatment time varies, but ranges from 30 - 45 minutes.

Body Wrap Massage Treatment

Hydrating  Body Wrap: Renew your dry, parched winter skin and refresh your spirit with a hydrating body wrap. 100% Pure Apricot oil is applied to your body, then you are wrapped in warmth for about 10 minutes, then you receive a cold stone facial massage just before the wrap ends. Followed by a 45 minute relaxing massage.

NEW --  Whole Body Detox Treatments

Detox Foot Bath Treatments

Detox Foot Baths are a great and pain-free way to detox the whole body, based on the premise that positive and negative ionic help rid the body of toxins via the feet. As your feet soak in the relaxing, warm water of the foot bath, a small undectectable current is sent through them generating positive charged ions. These positive charged ions attach themselves to the negative charged toxins in your body, thereby neutralizing them and allowing them to be discarded out through the bottom of the feet and into the water. Includes 20 minute mini-foot reflexology session.

Available beginning January of 2017.. Auricular Acupuncture Sessions!

Auricular acupuncture is one of the more widely used microsystems within eastern medicine. Microsystems use one aspect of the body - for example, the ears, hands or feet - to treat conditions that are present anywhere in the body. Auricular acupuncture may be used as a primary mode of treatment or in conjunction with other treatments such as acupuncture, bodywork or herbal medicine. At five designated earpoints in each auricle (outer ear), NADA-trained clinicians apply fine gauge, sterilized, one-time use stainless steel needles just under the skin, where they remain for between 20-40 minutes while the patient relaxes quietly in a comfortable chair.  Includes consultation time.
